Truth be told I also use the Internet to find new spots. Although I’d love to, I can’t cycle around the city every weekend and spend all my earnings on coffee, beer, breakfast, lunch and all the other goodness around. I’m getting close though. Somewhere online I read that people from the Northern part of the city cross the Erasmus Bridge to go to Kopi Soesoe. I’ve been one of those people for a while now. It can be a tough job but it’s worth spending your energy on. During autumn and wintertime it’s advised to focus on the hot coco that’s waiting for you while cycling up the bridge.
Kopi Soesoe is a small and cosy coffee bar/lunch room located in the corner of the Deli Plein, a square already filled with excellent spots like ‘The Fenix Food Factory’ (check article: Fenix Food Factory) and the ‘Posse espresso bar (check article: Posse espresso bar). At Kopi Soesoe you can enjoy a good cup of coffee: try the Coffee Kopi Soesoe (Coffee with milk and some other surprising ingredients), with an excellent piece of homemade pie or one of the many delicious sandwiches.
This makes Kopi Soesoe a good spot during the day but it’s also a great spot for enjoying different kinds of live music, a pub quiz or other entertainment. Just keep an eye on their program presented on their website or Facebook page.
Autumn is coming up, be prepared!
