In probably every bigger city there’s a discussion about where to get the best pizza in town. I don’t want to start the pizza issue here, but the best spot to eat a pizza in my opinion is this place, simply called La Pizza.
Apart from those nice crunchy thin-crust pizzas they have some really good antipasti like melanzane alla parmigiana and the classic vitello tonnato. All pizzas come in two sizes which also offers the possibility for smaller eaters to save space for one of the delicious sweet desserts. They have quite a nice selection of wines by the glass, which is a bit of a rarity for a pizzeria.
Although La Pizza is located just outside of the centre, everybody seems to find this place, resulting in a nice buzz all week long. They don’t take reservations, which normally means queues on the weekends, but I don’t mind waiting a bit. It’s kind of part of the experience and the knowledgeable staff will make sure you get a seat once a table is finished. They recently extended the terrace which gives a boost to the whole street.
