About me and my Rotterdam
The majority of my life I have lived in this city where I was also born, Rotterdam. At the moment I live with my 11 year old son and three cats in a nice apartment on the North bank near the forest. I spend most of my days working, always staying aware to have enough fun in my live. Fortunately there can be much happiness in the smallest things in life.
I love to go out biking. When the days get longer in the spring I often set the alarm clock at 4 o’clock in the morning to go out for as 17km tour. I have had many pleasant surprises taking an alternative route finding me in the middle of a piece of pretty city I had not discovered yet. When I have a day off I take longer tours leading me outside the boundaries of Rotterdam.
I enjoy being with animals and nature. Whether it be a park, a zoo or a garden. I make a lot of trips with my son and friends, but also just on my own drawing, writing, reading and taking pictures. Or just sitting relaxed, being very content watching the world go by. Or one of my favorites… watching some one else work his ass off for a change.
And I go out for coffee a lot. Since every one nowadays seems to have a busy life, a cup of coffee is most of the time the best all of us can spare between two appointments. So I see a lot of coffee bars here in Rotterdam. When I have some more time on my hands, I like to go expand my horizon beyond the casual drink and snack.
