Witte de Withstraat is the area for culture. Besides Tent (check the Tent article), V2_ (check the V2- article), Blaak10 and Roodkapje there is Mama. Mama is an exhibition space for young artists. The art on display is often daring, provoking and displayed in a fully transformed space. Especially the transformation of the space makes Mama stand out!

I personally remember a beautiful exhibition by Lastplak (check the Lastpak article), a collective of Rotterdam painters. Instead of displaying their paintings, they painted every square centimeter of the exhibition space. Interpreting exhibitions like this makes Mama awesome!
