About me
During my study Industrial design engineering I got a job at 1uptoys(.com) in Rotterdam. It wasn’t until then that I had learn to appreciate Rotterdam. Soon enough the city grabbed me with it’s summer events, sushi restaurants, cinemas en people from all over the world.
I moved to Rotterdam soon after that and now live in the western part of Rotterdam -one of the more multicultural boroughs. I work as a freelance designer with Rotterdam as my work field.
My favorite hangouts are practically all located around the Witte de Withstraat; the cultural main street of Rotterdam -adjecting to my favorite museums like the Kunsthal, Boijmans van Beuningen and the NAI. But exploring the hidden spots is certainly one of my favorite wastes of time.
That is what Rotterdam is to me, one big maze of hidden spots and interesting stories. Due to the lack of a obvious city centre, you often have to travel to the interesting places – a true urban jungle!
