The ‘Kitchen on wheels’ for tasty and good food has become a trend as more people like to have a healthier choice for what they eat and snack at festivals and events. That is how Pomms’ started.
Pomms’ off wheels!
At the doorstep of one of the most luxurious warehouses in the Netherlands – De Bijenkorf – and opposite the World Trade Centre, in a small clean kiosk is where you’ll find Pomms’ Rotterdam with super friendly staff.
If you like to snack, go to the Coolsingel and get yourself a cone of some prize winning Pomms’ fries (9.5 AD newspaper-test 2014). You see what you eat (can’t miss the pile of potatoes they freshly cut and fry on the spot). Pomms’ also sells organic meat, goat cheese and shrimp-balls/croquettes but I prefer their fries.
There are swings hanging in the door opening and there’s wooden seating outside. Both are perfect spots to snack and do some people watching.
Delicious fries, served in a stylish cardboard cone with a separate compartment for sauce. I always get myself some extra mayo, so don’t be shy and just ask if you like more! If Pomms’ is closed, go to Bram Ladage at the Binnenwegplein 24 or Markthal (check the Martkhal Rotterdam article) and if you want a drink with your snack roll on to ‘Tante Nel’ at the Pannekoekstraat 53 (check the Tante Nel article – they sell gin&tonic here on Friday evenings – accompanied with a ball and fries for free).
