I always find that when I step inside this shop I have to take a minute to catch my breath. It’s not big, but the vast amount of rejected material piled from floor to ceiling is enough to make anyone stop and stare. SCRAP is a shop where artists, schools and all kinds of curious individuals come to buy, well, anything really.
Stuffed into every nook and cranny are leftovers from anything you can imagine, car tires, fabrics, flags, bottles, plastics, foams, wood and metals in all shapes and sizes. Whether you are doing a project or are simply curious, SCRAP is a paradise for anyone who likes making anything. The first time I went I spent at least an hour simply looking and choosing in awe.
SCRAP is an establishment that discourages waste and encourages any form of creativity. To stimulate this they also give workshops and organise children’s parties. All in all, SCRAP is fun and functional and absolutely worth exploring.
