Sijf is the type of place where there is nothing not to like. The place is charming and cosy, the waiters are friendly and professional, the terrace is great for people watching, and they serve loads of different (local) beers. You can also come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner but I prefer just going there for drinks, sitting on the terrace during the day or at the bar by night. (even though the mussels served with fries and a bottle of Belgian beer do sound quite tempting)
On Sundays, there is live music at Sijf, usually from about 17:00 onwards. Before they can start, the musicians have to take their place on the tiniest balustrade you have ever seen, right above the entrance on the inside. When you see them there you will wonder how they ever got up there. Well, I can recommend you go to Sijf on a Sunday just before 17:00 to see it happening, it is quite amusing!
