We weren’t sure if we wanted to share this place with you, but it’s too good to keep it a secret as we want you to find your way to delicious vegetarian and vegan food too 🙂 .
Spirit is located in the same building as Gimsel (see De Groene Passage article), the eco-friendly supermarket where people usually combine their grocery shopping with a bite or a cuppa at Spirit.
The food is 100% organic and 100% vegetarian. Vegans get their fair share too as each dish has a note which points out if it is vegan or not.
This café/restaurant offers a great variety of beverages and food during breakfast, lunch and dinner or take-away. The food is displayed as a buffet and you pay per 100 grams of food on your plate.
You pay for what you eat basically.
It’s always a challenge for me to not overfill my plate as there are so many mouthwatering dishes catering to everyone’s taste. There’s about 50 dishes to choose from!
My tip: first just walk around the buffet and see what tickles your fancy.
Because if you start picking and putting things on your plate straight away, you won’t have enough room for the other dishes once you get to see them and you will feel sorry for yourself.
But then again, you can always come back to try out the other half of the buffet…
