Rotterdam is famous for its art museums and galleries. The epicentrum of cultural activities is Tent. This exhibition space features the nicest exhibitions and events.
As there are different events throughout the year, I can only recommend to check out their website to see if there is anything you might like. However, they usually feature an excellent selection.
Last year, I attended a free concert of Jamie Lidell, a symposium on architecture and saw some impressive exhibitions.
A suggestion, watch for openings of exhibitions. They usually feature a little party, with (free) drinks and some music. An excellent opportunity to meet people and get a little social.

De Tent was working on their next exhibition last Sunday. Witte de With however, located in the same building, was super! Great exhibition about Morality, with nice video! Certainly a recommendation!
