The View – a Ferris wheel of 55 meters high, is back in town until April 9th.
Like last year, it’s right next to the iconic food valhalla Markthal – downtown at Grotemarkt.
On a clear day, from the highest point you can see as far as Ridderkerk, Dordrecht and The Hague, and you’ll have a great view over many of the highlights in Rotterdam.
Check Kijk Rotterdam Rond, a viewer I developed last year for The View, to get an idea of what you can see when taking a ride.
As Rotterdam is always changing, I am really looking forward to see what is new.
The Willems Bridge for sure, as it’s wrapped in white plastic as if Christo is in town;)
The different views you’ll get while spinning on The View excite me. It will give you a unique look at Markthal, especially at the penthouses which you can’t see from street level, the Laurens church surrounded by post-war and new architecture, and on Tuesdays and Saturdays, the bustle and excitement of market day.
Enjoy the ride
Try a ride during sunset and take some amazing pictures of our skyline.
The View is accessible for people in a wheelchair.
