Don’t be fooled by the name. I could only wish to find the fantastic items that are sold at Tony’s at some random garage sale, unfortunately I never seem to find real designer treasures at garage sales or markets, that is why I like Tony’s Garage Sale so much!
Tony’s did start however as a real garage sale. Every month different sellers would get together to sell their vintage finds from a garage in The Hague. Later on they expanded their activities to vintage markets, and now they own a shop, share the responsibilities and each have their own little space in the shop. This is why you will find such a wide range of vintage items here: furniture, but also clothes, accessories, plants, collectors items, and even some electric appliances.
Tony’s is a great place if you need some vintage inspiration. All the furniture is in perfect condition, and therefore it is not cheap. However, if you love vintage but hate bargain hunting, then this is your place to be, and the items are definitely worth the money if you ask me. Luckily, you can also find plenty of smaller, more affordable items here: the corner full of pots, vases and other small and colourful items is my favourite part of the shop.
Every once in a while Tony’s organizes a street sale where everything that is not sold by the end of the day can be taken for free!
