ArtMuse is a cool loft to see art and meet artists. I found this place last year, when I was looking for drawing classes. Surprisingly enough, I got a recommendation from one of my peers in the tap dance class. Yep, sometimes artists like to dance and dancers can also draw. Many thanks to the network effect :).
ArtMuse is a modern art museum, that also hosts various studios and workshops. One can find classic and modern artists, sculptors, musicians, dancers, actors and fashion designers spread over its 4 floors. As far as I know, there are more than 100 creative individuals and projects inside this cluster, and every corridor in the building serves as a gallery with constantly changing collections.
What I like the most about this spot is that it makes the art process visible and social. It’s quite common in the art workshop I joined to have random guests, who might have just been walking around, looking at canvases, and then saw our door open. You can do it too, but please, please, seize the moment the right way and respect the production process. In any other case, you are more than welcome at the muse’s home.
