This spot is remarkable due to three aspects. First of all, Domod has an unusual location. The cafe is hidden in the former center of Leningrad’s fashion, so called Dom Mod (translating as the Fashion House). Currently it’s a small shopping mall with pretty weird collections, but in the USSR era it was a legendary place. The cafe’s name has a direct link to its residence and I think that one M is missing just for some differentiation purposes :).
It feels like only brave people, who want to have a good breakfast or simply stop during their exploration of Petrogradskaya’s district can reach Domod :). But it deserves it. One should enter the mall (the same building with Petrogradskaya metro station) and take the escalator to the second floor. Small black navigation signs will lead you to Domod space. Here we are.
The second reason for not missing Domod is their great variety of coffee, fresh muffins and pies. Additionally, there is a book collection available for reading and book-crossing.
Keep calm and pay a visit to Domod :).
