Golitzin Loft is the biggest loft project in Saint Petersburg. It is the youngest one but also space- and number of place-wise, it exceeds other famous cluster projects like Etagi or Zarchitector. It occupies five buildings and has an annex and a big yard. Each building has a lot of history, starting from the fact that it was residency of the Turgenev brothers and a meeting spot of the famous closed poet community of the 19th century.
The yard is covered with wooden planks making it very cosy, just like a giant Berlin apartment. I like to grab a drink and come outside especially in summer time. The loft is full of cool people so it’s like crazy party. About grabbing a drink, the space is full of bars and restaurants (there are about 70) giving you a really hard time with “hard to choose”. My personal favourite is Kazbegi – a small restaurant with Georgian cuisine. You should definitely try Odzahuri with lamb; it will blow you away. Vegetarians can easily find something on the menu as well.
The variety of places can keep you busy for a whole day – barbershops, tattoos, designer shops, bars and restaurants… It’s a great “all in one” concept.
