It’s hard to create something unique from the mundane things, I believed. What can be special about pizza? When I first time came to Pizza 22cm I understood how wrong I was. I think the devil still likes the details. Pizza 22cm selected a pretty specific niche in the pizza world, they make the Neapolitan pizza.
Originally the spot was simply named 22cm, pointing out the diameter of the pizza. Then the name was changed, maybe to clarify the cuisine’s domaine. I remember that locals were quite confused and frequently discussed what exactly 22cm was meant to be.
Now this spot has become bloody popular, if you’re planning to visit it during weekends, you will need a lot of luck to find a small table for two persons during lunch or dinner time.
Personally, I love the modern recipe more, for instance pizza with blue cheese, gorgonzola and sudjuk (dry, salty and spice meat), which simply brilliantly pairs the cider from Normandy. Doesn’t sound very traditional, I know :). The classy Margarita is available as well!
