Sicaffé is a perfect place to have a coffee before or during ticking the boxes of your main touristic program in St Petersburg. The place is squeezed between the most famous places to see in the city: the State Hermitage, St Isaak’s Cathedral and the Admiralty on Gorohovaya street. Nevertheless the fact that makes it really popular among locals, who would normally rarely be found in that quarter, is that Sicaffé is usually quite empty.
Nobody knows what the secret is and why mostly crowds of tourists who invade all the places around still keep away from this quiet and cozy cafe! Here you will find a great upscale coffee bar and a bakery, tastefully decorated in New York style and backed up with fantastic jazz music.
The food is good, coffee is just wonderful, members of the staff always have the possibility to pay as much attention to you as you need, not being torn away in the midst of clients.
If you liked the idea to avoid the crowd while sipping your drinks in peace here, don’t miss visiting the General Staff Building (check the General Staff Building article).
