I accidentally found this coffee spot when I was running to my dance class. Creativity needs some caffeine and this is a true story, my friends. Welcome Coffee is located in the Passage building and managed by Freedom team, the creative community that supports local start-ups. For me, this combination of past and future is amazing. Personally, I think it’s simply great, that creative, future oriented teams are located in the historic building. It’s kind of a dialogue between the past of the city and its future.
Let’s come back to the coffee and coffee says welcome to everybody. Finding the place is really easy. It’s located on the ground floor of Passage, the right corner. The door that leads to Welcome Coffee has a navigation sign, that you can see from the Nevsky prospect.
Welcome Coffee can be a nice spot to grab a cappuccino to go or to spend some time looking in the mirrors and making photos for your sweet Instagram account. In fact, Welcome coffee has a slightly unusual open space layout, which I believe is great. You are literally sitting in the corridor or the passage and this totally reflects the idea of the host building.
When it comes to coffee, I enjoyed the ginger cappuccino. It wasn’t on the list, but I asked them to create this drink for me being inspired by a ginger latte. Next time I will probably try the carrot latte, it sounds really interesting.
P.S. Cash only!
