Zoom is my everlasting love. I believe that in our quickly changing world there should be at least something perfectly permanent, and Zoom is like that for me. I used to come here with my classmates when skipping some boring lectures at university. And I still drop in here now and then with friends. Zoom manages to stay the same good old Zoom, surviving repair works and bringing lots of novelties.
As I could write a whole novel the size of “War and Peace” on how much and for what I adore this place, I’ll just summon up what I consider the most important:
- Really cozy atmosphere – from the comfortable sofas (in no-smoking areas) with cushions and cutie toys to soft lighting, nice music and an exhibition of paintings that change every month.
- Very tasty food – every starter, salad, soup, main dish, dessert and you order will be delicious. And some Russian things, like Obtryepanniki (potato and zucchini pancakes with sour cream), Call Your Parents Cake (homemade cake with chocolate glazing and cream filling with nuts), Mors (berry drink) – are a must.
- Amazing people, who work there.
- Specialties (a bill is brought to you between the book’s pages, etc.)
- Lots of books and games.
The only thing which may startle you – no booking of tables (only for very regular guests) and the logical queue on the entrance. But even on the busiest weekend evenings people wait no longer than half an hour. And it’s absolutely worth it!!
