Book lovers get excited! The San Francisco Public Library has an annual Big Book Sale every September and it is one of my favorite events in the city because I can never resist buying books to read
The largest book sale in the West Coast is happening this September 20th-24th at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion in the Marina District and they literally have thousands of books for sale – everything from fiction and art to world history, graphic novels, and cookbooks is yours for the taking. The best part are the low prices – all of the books are $3.00 each or less and on the last day of the sale all books are $1.00 each! When I went to the sale last year, I walked out of the pavilion with 10 books for $10.00. In a city as expensive as San Francisco, this sale is really ideal and all of the proceeds go to support the public libraries of San Francisco which is very important.
There are so many books to browse as it is a very big pavilion so I can spend hours looking through all the titles and it can be overwhelming but if you love to read as much as I do, the time and money is well worth it!
