Together with my husband Bart, I found Spotted by Locals in 2008.

Before Spotted by Locals I advised companies about working conditions of their employees, with my company Gezond Verzuim. When we started Spotted by Locals, I sold the company I ran for four years.

Traveling has been always been one of my biggest passions. But often I had the feeling I did not visited the right (local) places. Meeting locals and following their tips really enriched my travels. I learned a lot from all the people I met and local tips I followed. With Spotted by Locals I want to share this way of traveling and I want others to experience cities the local way, because I think it is much more fun!

My main role is helping and keeping (potential) Spotters happy, and recruiting new Spotters abroad. Since I love traveling, and people, it’s the perfect job for me!
