If you wanna visit the best pub in the city, Celtic Pub is your place to be. You’ll find it in the small passage on the right side of Ferhadija street (if you’re coming from the Eternal Flame).
Celtic is a cosy place with a warm coloured interior dedicated to Scottish football club so it usual thing to see waiters wearing kilts all year long, no matter the season. If you’re a football fan you can count on them to show all the bigger football events and I’ll tell you, the atmosphere is exceptional.
Some nights you can dance with your friends, listening to live local rock bands, other nights you’ll be able to enjoy foreign and ex-Yugoslavian music playlists. I find background music a very important detail if you’re looking for a place to go out in Sarajevo because you won’t find many places that play old-school music. This is a perfect spot for all classic rock and blues lovers.
The first floor has a nice little terrace – perfect to escape to on hot summer days while enjoying your cold drink.
St. Patrick’s Day in Celtic Pub is a ”must” because they always throw a good party. Although, if you ask me, it’s a ”must” every other day too.
