Hafidha Acuay (1976)

About me
I’m a writer and mother to one homeschooled little girl. I was born in Queens, New York, but have lived in the Pacific NW since my teenage years. In 2010, my family moved to Seattle.

I fell in love with Seattle’s parks, museums and libraries; the maritime culture, public transit system and the geeky live-and-let-live mentality.

When I’m not telling stories and wandering the city, I row crew on Lake Union and eavesdrop on people’s conversations.

Why Seattle?
Seattle is a blend of down-to-earth neighborhoods, cosmopolitan amenities and breathtaking natural beauty; I don’t have to “escape” the city to get a break from the urban grind.
