Downtown Seattle is so photogenic in my opinion. I love the sunny days when the water and the buildings sparkle with the mountains in the distance. I love the rainy days when there are cloud designs in the sky. One of my favorite places to go and see these things unfold is right outside downtown at the Ursula Judkins Viewpoint. It’s only a few miles from downtown and it gives you a great skyline view of the city.
From the Ursula Judkins Viewpoint you can see all of downtown, plus on clear days Mount Rainier can be seen too. It’s a fantastic place to soak in the beauty of the city. Ursula Judkins also has a lot of parking which, in Seattle, is rare and valuable. Whether you want to just stop by for a quick photo opp. or stay for the afternoon with a picnic, the scenery will not disappoint.
One of my favorite things about the Ursula Judkins Viewpoint is its proximity to Puget Sound. Not only do you get a breathtaking view of downtown Seattle but the sound as well. The water and the ships all right there with the city. It truly is something incredible to see. And if you feel like going for a walk, walking down the Magnolia bridge a little to get closer to the water is always a good idea.
