Everybody’s got one place in town they associate with a certain mood or food (my rhyming skills are improving), and for me, well, that would be Plaza de Toros. This is my place of enjoyment. I come in peace and I mostly come for the, what I like to call, beer food. Beer and onion rings and I will stop there because my eyes are immediately sending information to my stomach to start growling and to beg my brain to command me to head to Plaza de Toros ASAP! And there is a lot of beer to choose from, and, get this, a lot of draught beer, too.
Beer and onion rings not enough? Fine. Add some chicken wings please. Oh, and throw in some French fries with cheese. You know what’s another good idea? Furnarinki (pizza bread so to speak). Nacho cheese is also my choice for finger food at Plaza de Toros, and the Chef Salad is also a must.
Big sporting event on TV? This is the place you want to be. TVs and projection screens everywhere, and an atmosphere you’d never forget, especially for you football fans. This is also a sort of informal gathering place of Dutch fans whenever the Netherlands are playing and the whole place is magically covered in orange and looks fantastic. So in light of that I have only one thing to say: Hup Holland hup!
