Unlike Mr Gordon Summer I occasionally drink coffee. However, whenever I have the chance, tea is my preferred drink. That’s why this place that serves more than 75 varieties of that drink, mixed and prepared on the spot, is among my favourites.
Make sure you sit at the second floor. You would have to take off your shoes and you can use comfortable bean bag chairs or just sit on the floor. Don’t worry that you are far from the counter – they thought of that and you can call the waitress with a small bell. During the evenings making a reservation on the phone is the smart thing to do, although they just doubled their space.
The tea is usually brought in really cute pots with honey and sugar on the side. Whenever I don’t feel like sitting there, I either buy some tea to go or just buy a bag of tea leaves (5-7 BGN for 50 grams) and prepare it at home. Unfortunately, they don’t have a good summer garden or something like that so the combination of take-away and a park is always an option in warmer times.
They also offer food and on weekdays there’s a soup and a meal of the day. They even serve “homemade” ice-cream (probably not made at one’s home but comes really close in taste). The whole place and all its products are said to conform with the Indian Ayurveda philosophy if you adhere to that.
