I get a bit jealous when visiting cities that have longer periods of more trustful summer weather than Sweden, though they always seem to have plenty of these cool and innovative outdoor bars that I like. But then I really try to take advantage of those that do exist and bring you good vibes during these oh so precious Swedish summer nights.
Boule & Berså is an innovative, prestige-less and happy hidden outdoor restaurant and bar. One of the best things is its location – it’s just by the canal, so you’ll watch boats passing right beneath you.
Food and drinks can be ordered at the bar, for instance you’ll find their classic “Canal burger” on the menu. And to make you even more satisfied – they sell coffee and donuts in a little café-truck!
This is a great place for either a relaxed afternoon, to start your evening at, or when you feel like getting a bit active whilst getting in the mood. Because even though there are benches, sofas, and other seating possibilities – you can play boule! If you’re lucky, you’ll even witness a guy from the staff singing opera next to their outside piano. Not kidding.
Come when you’re not in a rush, since it’s located away from the city centre. Also because it’s hidden. You should see this as a plus though – it means it’s not even close to being tourist-crowded, yay!
Unfortunately they’re closed during really bad weather, so keep an eye on the website for information.
