There is ice cream and there is good Ice Cream. And then there is Kungsholmens Glassfabrik, “The Ice Cream Factory of Kungsholmen” in Swedish, who plays in a league of its own. I come here as often as possible, even in the winter time, to get a taste of the mint and lime sorbet. This ice cream mojito is indescribable, amazing, perfect and totally incredible. And then they have at least 20 more kinds of sorbet and ice cream – impossible to choose and impossible to not love!
The location on one of the steepest hills on Kungsholmen is somewhat odd, but not far away from Norr Mälarstrand (check the Norr Mälarstrand article). In the summertime many locals buy their ice cream at Kungsholmens Glassfabrik and then take a walk along Norr Mälarstrand. Do that, and be sure to order a big ice cream otherwise you will have finished it once you reach the water. Of course they have coffee too, and if the weather is bad you can stay indoors and read a magazine while enjoying your treat.
