Emmaus is a non-profit second hand store near the Slussen station. It’s a place I go to with no plans to buy something, yet I always find something to buy. There are so many cool items in there! I could browse the shop for hours.
When I finish going through the entire store, there is no sadness. I’m actually more excited because there is another store next door with even more cool stuff! The store closest to Slussen train station is a basement shop. Downstairs in the basement are vintage clothes and clothing accessories. I am always drawn to the jacket selection. I’ve seen some nice coats down there. Upstairs in the next shop over is a bigger space. There is a fine assortment of surprises in there. I’ve seen cool books (in many languages), movies, clothes, toys, pots and pans and more. It’s always a welcome surprise at Emmaus.
One of the best things about Emmaus is the organization of the shop. There are signs about and it looks like they did there best to make it as easy as possible to find what you need. The only disappointing thing for me is when I find that perfect clothing article and it doesn’t fit. That’s part of the charm of Emmaus Vintage. The chase is the reward.
