Ett Skafferi, which directly translates to “A Pantry” is a wonderful café located at Skavellertorget in the heart of Midsommarkransen. You’ll literally feel like you’re stepping into a cosy living room slash picturesque café anno 1910, with white wooden tables, bookshelves filled with various coffee and tea blends as well as a glass stand with cakes and treats that will make any sweet-tooth ache. One recommendation when dropping by is to be hungry. I’m not kidding, really be hungry. Whether you’re on the hunt for a lovely breakfast or brunch, lunch or just a regular Swedish fika, Ett Skafferi is the place to visit. If the weather is nice and you want to sit outside? Swing by and plop down in the sun-drenched outdoor seating on the square.
My favorite thing on the menu is the big breakfast, which includes yoghurt with homemade müsli, your choice of coffee, rye bread, smoothie and a croissant with homemade jam. And just when you think you can’t eat another bite, pop by their adjacent chocolatier – Ett Chokladeri – which truly lives up to the Willy Wonka legacy.
