So why am I recommending Falafelbaren? They serve delicious falafel. It’s as simple as that. Everything is prepared upon order, most of the dishes are vegan (everything is vegetarian), and all sauces and several dishes are gluten and lactose free. I ended up here one day when I had a really bad hangover, and Falafelbarens falafel made everything a little bit better.
Falafelbaren serves newly fried falafel in pita bread, with traditional accessories such as sour red cabbage, pickles, tomato, cucumber and tahini sauce. Besides falafel they also serve homemade Börek with spinach and feta filling, salad and dips, and Fool, which is a classic Arabic bean dish with parsley, lemon and egg. I usually get their falafel salad (100 SEK).
Falafelbaren also have another restaurant on Ringvägen 127, which is the same street where two of my other favourite places are located (Reggev Hummus and Delimundo). Seriously!? Why must Södermalm get all the good places?
