This is my favourite café. Perfectly situated next to small shops and nice parks in the south of Stockholm. I introduce everyone I know to this pearl.
The interior is very welcoming and inspiring with wallpaper tricking your eye, making you think the place is packed with shelves of books; a very creative and fun atmosphere. It is a very popular spot and sometimes very packed. Oh, don’t go here if you’re allergic to dogs, there’s usually at least one hanging around.
The tiles covering the floor are very beautiful and contribute to the creativity as well. Red cushions and chandeliers meets Middle Eastern patterns and colours! I love the imaginary bookshelves and the corner with that light green armchair that is placed there just for you.
But what I love the most is the laid-back service and cosy, homely feeling. The people working here are really sweet, their sandwiches delicious (especially the mozzarella toast) and their caffe lattes a piece of art.
If you only have time for one café during your stay in Stockholm – this is your café! I’m sure you’ll love it.

Really nice and always welcoming cafe..especially when the majority of your options close at..6!!!! it has fanatics…for reason! what I has observed and not liked at all -common at sthlm caffe – is its untidiness especially at peak time…
Thank you for your comment, I’m glad you enjoyed it just as much as i do!!
This was definitely one of my favorite places in my favorite areas my second time around in Stockholm. The staff is definitely a bit more personable than some staff elsewhere, and the aesthetics (decor, people, food, drinks) are exactly like you said – works of art.
I like the place, but I certainly did not find it quiet. It was Sunday 15:30 and it was full, a lot of people in and out. All in all, it’s a great “local” spot. There’s one thing I didn’t like, though, they don’t take credit cards.
Nice, quiet place but to call it the “best” is unfair to a lot of great cafes in this town. Let’s just say it’s a nice place in a lovely neighborhood (great for a winter’s stroll). And I think the reviewer is exactly right when she describes it as “homely”.
