Who doesn’t like brunch? Or breakfast for that matter? Those are my favourite meals of the day, and Greasy Spoon knows their stuff. A Smashed Avocado (80 SEK) sandwich is always a good way to start the day, on toast with olive oil, chili flakes and pickled red onion (löve). You can also, like I did, choose to add a poached egg (for example). Love it! I really have a thing for poached eggs at the moment. I didn’t really like their Chia Pudding though, I would have wanted it to be a bit sweeter, but maybe that’s just me.
Something else I really like about Greasy Spoon is that you can choose to only get half a portion of several different dishes, so if you’re feeling cheap, if you’re not really that hungry, or if you want to choose more than one dish (like me) – you can! They also have great vegetarian options.
Like Stockholm Brunch Club, Greasy Spoon doesn’t do reservations so you’ll just have to drop in and grab a table. According to their website their peak hours on the weekend are roughly 11:00 – 14:00, when they operate a waiting list. The easiest time to get a table is early mornings, late afternoons, and on weekdays.
They also have a spot on Tjärhovsgatan 19.
