One of my favourite Indian restaurants in Stockholm is called Rajdoot, located in the cellar of a residential building in a quite part of Södermalm. Lunch or dinner, with unpretentious yet cosy furnishings and atmosphere, as well as extremely relaxed and welcoming staff – this is a great escape for hungry stomachs anytime.
Rajdoot is no fine dining, but they’re not striving to be either: the food is still fresh, well made, and you never have to wait long until they bring your steaming dish out to the table.
Another reason for a visit is because they use no sugar in their cooking, avoid using too much fat, and they use organic and locally produced raw products as far as possible. What’s not to like about that?! The prices are reasonable too (for being a Swedish restaurant so to speak).
