Skansen – A miniature of Sweden

This treasure of ours, Skansen, is a miniature of Sweden and when we feel like adding some culture and history into our everyday life this is the place to visit.

It is mainly a zoo hosting wild and native Nordic animals but it has become more and more our home of annual Swedish festivities. Visit our autumn and spring market and celebrate our traditions our way.

Skansen basically shows our living history to the visitor. Not only is it one of Stockholm’s top attractions for foreign visitors, but also for locals. At least once a year I head down to Skansen to take in traditional influences and be reminded of how it once was.
