In the classic movie The breakfast club from 1985, five high school students from different cliques meet in detention where they find common ground and become unlikely friends. Weirdly, the movie really does not have much to do with breakfast.
That’s not the case with Stockholm Brunch Club though – they’re all about brunch. All day, every day. If you do go here, which I definitely think you should, plan to sit down for quite a while since you’re not gonna be able to move after you’ve eaten all that delicious food! I’d recommend the Full Veggie (129 SEK) with 2 poached eggs, grilled Portobello mushroom, beans, tomatoes and sourdough toast with smashed avocado & hummus. Or if you like your brunch more on the sweet side, Fluffy American pancakes (95 SEK ), with berry compote & vanilla whipped cream (or with bacon & maple syrup).
Like in The Breakfast Club, people from all cliques are welcomed at Stockholm Brunch Club. However, it’s a super popular place and they don’t do reservations so it’s first come first served. According to their website they’re busiest between 10:30 – 14:30 on weekends when they operate by a waiting list. It’s worth the wait though, so go here, make some unlikely friends and victoriously throw your fist in the air – just because.
They’d been closed now for a while due to renovations, but now they’re open again, so go visit their new and improved premises!
