In the city centre of Stockholm, Snickarbacken 7 is a café, exhibition space and a concept store all in one. It is set in a building from the late 1800′s which used to a stable.
This place got to be my first visit in town with my newborn baby. We dropped in to look for children’s clothes by Tuss, a swedish brand. The design is classic yet contemporary and functional. Although our focus was clothes for the children, I couldn’t help looking for clothes for me and after some time we were longing for some coffee. Which later became lunch with my father. All in one visit.
The cafe is open for breakfast and lunch and serves excellent coffee in a variety of brewing techniques, but also sells coffee making equipment and coffee beans. Food and sweets “are made with love” they say and the menu changes to follow the seasons. They offer food like soup of the day, club sandwiches, croque monsieur and pulled pork with noodles. Something for all tastes.
If that wasn’t enough, the store also offers a personal selection of new and vintage fashion, music, magazines, books and home wear. Things to keep you busy for an afternoon.
