This small cinema located in Solaris shopping center is operated by Tallinnfilm, as their website says “a company which has been shaping the Estonian cinema landscape for 70 years”.
The tiny 181- and 72-seat cinema halls screen primarily European films, with some detours to American indie films and Asian box office hits, mainly arthouse and other quality films.
The cinema is charming, it’s small and they screen only good movies so sometimes I just walk in without checking the timetable and take a ticket to the first movie and I have never been disappointed.
This year Estonian film celebrates its 100th anniversary. A lot of old classical Estonian movies and animations are restored and will be screened throughout the year.
