Peatus is my new favourite in Telliskivi, the most hip area of Tallinn. The owners have fetched two old Soviet restaurant train wagons from somewhere and turned those into a hip old school train bar that serves trendy food and drinks. And the solution of a nice terrace outside, built between the two carriers and extending to the street, makes the place a lovely hangout for all kinds of people. There is a short but nice menu of food and quite a short (unfortunately) menu for beer and wine, but the place itself compensates. Service is friendly and laid back, just like the clientèle.
It’s a perfect venue to hang out on a sunny day and let it slide into the evening on the weekends when parties take place and DJs spin their best records. Very well accessed by car, by foot, by bicycle, tram or even crawling. I like to meet people there. You have a nice view and if needed then you can escape fast from the back ;).
Waiting for spring time so they can open up the balcony again.
