One looking for a nature retreat without crossing the city’s borders should definitely consider visiting Pirita river estuary. Not only you can find beautiful views around with remnants of Pirita Convent on one of the banks but there are also lots of different fresh air activities available for visitors.
One of them I would like to mention separately – during the summer months you can find a small boat station located here, just beside the bridge. At Pirita boat station it’s possible to rent a rowboat, catamaran or kayak on an hourly basis.
The season usually starts at the end of April and lasts till the end of August. Don’t miss the chance to see Tallinn from another side! And don’t forget to take a lunch with you.
