The Art Doll House – Weirdest museum in town

Katarina Käik (St. Catherine’s Passage) is probably one of the most visited locations in the city (right after Town Hall Square). It’s curious that most tourists just pass by – without trying to enter the houses. At the same time one of them – House of Mauritius, considered the oldest building in Tallinn, hosts one of the weirdest museums I have ever seen – The Estonian Art Doll house.

It’s pretty small yet always offers quite an interesting exhibition of dolls made by world-famous doll makers. You can say you are not up to watching dolls – that’s a girl’s business after all. So would I. But the dolls you can see here are completely different and each one has a story. All in all when walking in Old Town I suggest you make a short stop and visit this location – it’s definitely worth seeing.

Last but not least: The Art Doll House often organizes various events or festivals – just check out their Facebook page to follow what is coming next.
