I am pretty sure I can write the whole guide for falafel spots in Tel Aviv. I can’t live without falafel and lucky me: Tel Aviv is packed with falafel joints. As a rule, all falafel here is amazing but some places make it different and take it to another level.
My default and one of the favorites is just 600 meters from my apartment – Falafel 4 Teamim (4 tastes). I go there when I’m too lazy to cook after work, too pissed off to cook or too excited as well. Yeap, you got me – I don’t really need a specific reason to eat falafel, but my personal record was when I got back home after 2 weeks in Ethiopia, I just dropped my bags at my place and ran to get my falalel fix before doing anything else.
So, what’s special about this spot? As you can tell by the name they make falafel with 4 different tastes – green with parsley, the red is spicy, another one with roasted sesame and of course the classic one. You don’t have to choose, just ask a mix of all of them together. It comes with a complimentary salad bar, just ask for a tiny bowl and you can refill it as much as you like. I always squeeze extra tahini onto my falafel – for me it’s a must!
One portion costs 17 shekel, you can upgrade your pita to whole grain for an extra 2 shekel.
