Life is too short to waste time waiting for food. That’s probably the reason why I’m not a frequent visitor of restaurants and fancy cafes. I like my food to be ready within 5-10 minutes on demand, preferably something I can eat with my hands and if it can be healthy (-ish) on top of this, it’s like winning a gastro lottery!
I wanna introduce you to my latest street food spot discovery – “Kanu” Vietnamese spring roll shop in the Florentine neighborhood. This small shop is situated on a corner of Florentine street and Hertzel street with primary outdoor seats.
Kanu has a pretty extensive menu – dozens of spring rolls, banhs, salads and pho soups. All veggie rolls are vegan and my spring roll of choice is Ashtanga roll (admit you love this yoga related name) which come with avocado in teriyaki sauce, beetroot, sweet potato, mushrooms and some other delicious veggie toppings. Don’t miss Urban Beet salad, you get a small portion for 5 ILS when you order a spring roll. Peanut butter sauce takes spring rolls to a completely other level of yumminess and totally fits the definition of hashtag #foodporn.
