Confession: one of the reasons I decided to become a vegan was how easy it is in Tel Aviv – you can get amazing vegan food of all kinds here. One of the best is this all-vegan bakery, located right next to my bus stop, which makes me go inside way too many times.
They have everything you could possibly want: bread and sandwiches, a few types of vegan “cheese” and a few kinds of quiche. If it’s something sweet you’re looking for, you can find cakes and pies: a full fridge with all kinds of desserts like tiramisu. They even have a special kit for kids and kids at heart: homemade ice cream cones with ice cream and a variety of sprinkles to dip the cones in. But my favorite is definitely the ice cream sandwich (“kasata” in Hebrew), with cool combinations like chocolate, caramel and salt or mocha, hazel nuts and chocolate chips.
You can take it away or you can sit in one of their two outside tables and look at the people while enjoying a cupcake or a chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee.
