About me
After growing up in a small town in the south of Crete, I moved to Thessaloniki for all its treasure hunting. I’ve been here for over a decade now, and I can safely say it feels like home to me.

Apart from blogging as a Spotter I am a researcher in Computer Science, which is less boring than it sounds.

I relish absorbing the city in “all day out” days, doing nothing and everything, like crossing new places off my list, passing by the seafront, looking for spectacles and meeting up with friends. Besides, I am an enthusiast for good wine and crafts.

When traveling I like to spend time both in cities and in nature. I am fascinated by landscapes, buildings, food and strange customs.

Why Thessaloniki?
Thessaloniki has always been a great city to live in. Its motto suggests to let things move at their own pace. People always steal time to drink a coffee or go to a tavern to catch up with friends and socialize. They are considered laid-back and easygoing. I easily joined the team.

Thessaloniki’s biggest asset is the endless seafront, which is quickly reachable from everywhere in the center and, of course, the student community. It has the perfect size and population to be totally vibrant both day and night and every distance is manageable.

Throughout the financial crisis Thessalonians have learned to appreciate public places and collaboration. Street art is becoming ubiquitous and a lot of cooperative cafes and restaurants pop up, born out of imaginative ideas. I am happy to be part of this evolution.
