Panacea – Km 0 bread and pastries

It’s well known that dogs are men’s best friends. But so are carbohydrates. Sooooo much more.

If you want to boost your endorphins with great products you surely have to go to “Panacea”.

The name means something that cures all the bad things/illnesses. And that’s a good start.

The products are made with natural rising agents (no chemical yeast but only sourdough), no refined flour, no strange oils, no artificial flavoring. The flour is strictly trackable: It comes from Stupinigi, a small location right outside the southern part of Turin. That choice is to be sure about the provenience of wheat and other grains.

The bread has no added fats: only water, salt and flour for the basic dough. Then there are different kinds of loafs: old style basic white bread (Type 1 flour), Whole bread, Durum wheat bread, Cereals and seeds, Farmer’s bread (Type 2 Flour and seeds), Rye bread.

You can also find some enriched bread, for example, Salentino (fresh and dried tomatoes, olives, onion and durum wheat), Meliga (Corn flour sweet bread) and Chocolate chip bread.

Everything is a surprise, including the long duration of the loafs (5 days from purchase).

In the shops ( the one I’m talking about, Corso Siccardi 15/c,  Via Baltea 3) you can also find sweets and pizzas (there are also some pizza non-stop nights organized by the shop itself).

So, no diet and lots of naturally-made carbs for a healthy future. Or at least a delightful day.
