I really love the South Granville area. This is comprised of about 6 blocks before you cross the Granville St Bridge to get to downtown and you most likely drove through it from the airport. It’s anchored on one end by the tony Shaughnessy neighbourhood on the southern end and by the Broadway on the north. It’s a lively area filled with a variety of clothing, housing and shoe shops, different restaurants including white table cloth type venues down to local coffee shops sporting free Wi-Fi, slotted in between some second hand clothing stores, a few banks and a large pharmacy. There is also a live theater called the Stanley, which is run by the Arts Club.

Take an afternoon, walk up and down, pop into shops for a look and rest your feet at The Marquis or Lukes for lunch. It’s not to be missed and a great way to get a touch of local Vancouver color.
