I couldn’t wait to share this new discovery because this spot has the chance to become one of my favourites in Venice. Last month I was wandering around the Dorsoduro district (that’s not something I do frequently) and just in front Tonolo I was attracted by a modern restaurant. Big windows, black chalkboard walls and a clean cut mood, different from the Venice Osteria Style.
After the first impression and at the suggestion of my foodie friend I finally tasted the goods at Impronta Cafè some weeks ago. A good dinner started with Chef’s mixed fish appetizers and continued with some innovative and yet interesting first courses.
What I really like about this spot? The fact that it is open from early in the morning for breakfast till late at night (you can have dinners at 23:00: that’s not so common in Venice). You can have a fast lunch or a relaxing tea in the afternoon as it’s an international bistrot. Tasteful, with a modern but not expensive kitchen.
A hidden gem to save as a Venetian bookmark.
