When pumpkin season is coming, there are few things I love more than eating a delicious dish which includes this vegetable. But it can’t be Autumn the entire year and that’s the reason why one my favourite restaurants in Venice is “La Zucca” (literally The Pumpkin in Italian).
Not so far away from San Giacomo Square, immediately behind a picturesque and lovely bridge (a good corner to take a selfie!), La Zucca is the perfect place to have an intimate dinner in Venice. Yellow lights and wooden walls create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The best table to choose? My personal one has a magic view over the canal.
Every time I promise to myself to try a new taste but it’s hard for me to have dinner at La Zucca without eating the famous Pumpkin Flan served with sweet raisins! Do not be fooled by the name: this is not a cool spot just for vegetarians. Meat lovers can count on some interesting choices.
Actually I’m not the only one in love with this place and a reservation is not just a suggestion but a real necessity.
