The question that people who do not live in Venice most frequently ask me is always the same: where do young people usually go in Venice? The answer is actually one: Campo Santa Margherita. The right place to have spritz after lessons (the University is close to the Campo) and where to find nightlife after 23:00 (not so frequent in Venice).
The reasons to include this stop in my wanderings are just enough but over the past few months I found another good reason and its name is Orient Experience II.
I always love to try something new. My last discovery is a cool spot in Campo Santa Margherita: food from the Silk Road. Orient Experience is a new small locale which offers oriental flavors. Hummus, biryani, spicy vegetables and many others typical dishes from Afghanistan and nearby countries that you can eat in or take away. A low cost alternative dinner in Venice: € 8 for the mix vegetarian plate (you can choose the mix) and € 10 with meat.
If you are wandering around the Cannaregio area you can find another Orient Experience in Rio Terà Farsetti.
